Automated routing enginefor a growing fleet.

A local delivery company had outgrown manual route planning — dispatchers were drawing routes by hand every morning, and delays were becoming the norm. We built a routing engine that plans the day automatically.

The challenge

Routes drawn by hand, every single morning.

Every morning, a dispatcher spent nearly an hour manually sequencing stops for 15 vehicles. As order volume grew, routes got sloppier, drivers backtracked across town, and afternoon deliveries slipped later and later.

The approach

Routes that plan themselves before 7am.

We built an automated routing engine that ingests the day's orders overnight and generates optimized routes for every vehicle before the dispatcher even logs in — accounting for time windows, vehicle capacity, and live traffic.

What we built
1
Overnight route optimization
Routes for the full fleet are generated automatically before the workday starts.
2
Live traffic & re-routing
Routes adjust mid-day when traffic or a late order changes the picture, without dispatcher intervention.
3
Driver mobile app
Turn-by-turn stop sequencing and proof-of-delivery, replacing a paper manifest.
4
Dispatcher override console
The system proposes routes, but a human can always adjust — full control, none of the manual grind.

Our dispatcher used to be the bottleneck every single morning. Now the routes are already done by the time she sits down.
